Ever have one of those moments when you look back and realize you've had a "not to be missed" date on your calendar for the last eight month?

I've had one. It's April 25th, the date for the Jazzfest in New Orleans. Eight months. Yeah. Reservations, airline, hotel, all that.

Due to circumstances beyond all control, that date is kaput. Blown. All together out of bounds.

So long Dr. John in New Orleans, funky Meters at Jazzfest, etc.

It's one of those "maybe next year" deals.

Sometimes it's hell owning a business. Blech.
